Once again, there are 3 proposals to legalize pot attempting to get on the California ballot next year. And once again, the yahoos are coming out of the woodwork.
Yunno, I can't stand all this soap boxing people are doing to condemn Marijuana. Really. I'm almost certain that most of this blowharding is rooted in a close-minded religous upbringing. These are the same people that think Darwin is the devil and Dan Brown is his apprentice.
Look tell me the last time you heard about someone dying from a "Marijuana"- related death??? I didn't bring my sleeping bag (not that own one) so I won't wait for you to give me an answer.
And since we don't live in an ideal world, the reality is this: Alcohol and tabacco, all which are legal and taxable, combine to form the most consistent death dynamic duo that kill Americans every single year (that "stay cool my friends" guy now doesn't seem so cool). Don't believe me??? (then your really ignorant) Here are some numbers:
In 2008, MADD reported that nearly 12,000 people died in accidents involving drivers that had blood alcohol levels above the legal limit. And the American Cancer Society reported that at least 1 out of 5 people die as a result of Tobacco. In fact, alcohol and tobacco use, rank in the top 3 annually of leading US killers, wait i just said that.
I tried googling, pot related deaths... and im still looking
So for all you soap-boxing, bandwagon, pot is bad blowhards. Take your fight to a different more potent battle. You can't fight facts. But I can sure as hell destroy ideals. Why are there so many alcohol related support groups??? Why are there so many quit smoking programs??? Why are there so many alcohol related deaths??? You want to continue to act high and might and save lives??? start a measure that ban substances that actually kills people, destroys families and cost the tax payers millions every year... facts that have been documented every single effin year.
Yunno, if anything we should all promote the legalization of pot at least for the economy's sake. According to Harvard reseracher, Jeffrey Miron, legalizing pot would save the country an estimated 7.7 billion dollars a year!!! and you thought that NASA moon crashing mission was a monumental waste of money???? In addition, he also estimated that $6.2 billion dollars would be raised if Pot was taxed like alcohol and tobacco.
Imagine that??? I gaurantee we would've not had all these layoffs had we legalize this sht 5 years ago.
So, if this thing actually gets on the bill next year, vote for it. I know the California food industry will. Albertos will soon be a state-wide chain, knocking off those knock offs, Albertino's and Alertos.
and just for the record, i don't smoke out, i just get irritated by hypocrites and actually think its' a good idea for a legal business.
