don't exactly crown him p4p king just yet

LAS VEGAS, NV - Sure he won every single round, landed left hooks at will, evenlooked quicker than before he retired. But seriously?? You're gonna heap all this praise on Pretty Broke Floyd, when the foe he destroyed was a hand picked guy whose not only older but markedly slower, weaker and is fighting TWO freakin weight classes higher than he ever has??? Seriously???
The way Jim Lampley and Manny Steward were kissing his ass, almost seemed contractual, like the HBO marketing machine was dictating every word they said in hopes of an even bigger fight.
Look, Pretty Broke looked awesome tonight, but he better have. If his point was to make a point that he toyed with a guy that Pacquiao had problems with. Fine. But don't discount the fact that Pacman made De La Hoya quit, while Floyd won on split decision. Even more impressive, Pacman needed two rounds to KTFO Hatton, while Floyed need ten (even then, Hatton still got up after Floyd knocked him out, while Pacman put him to sleep for a good 2 mintues).
The same handicaps you apply to Pac, is the same damn handicap you can apply to Floyd. It's just Manny's wins were much much more impressive. In tonight's fight, I almost needed another double shot espresso to keep me awake past the 9th round.
In Manny's case, at least he was trying tp fight people his size or bigger. You can't call someone a pound for pound king, when all he does is pick on the queen.
I'm not taking anything away from Pretty Broke, he's a great, super quick, very techinical counter punching boxer. Had he done what he did tonight against Sugar Shane or Paul Williams, then fine, praise him like he's the second coming. But what he did, is like what the Lakers would do if they played the Div III NCAA champs. Anybody that puts him on top of the pound for pound list after tonight... really??? are you freakin serious???
